Youths reveal racy Bible calendar
A German Protestant youth group has put together a 2006 calendar illustrated with erotic scenes from the Bible.
The 12 re-enacted passages feature a bare-breasted Delilah cutting Samson's hair and a nude Eve offering an apple.
The Nuremberg-based group said they wanted to represent the Bible in a way that would entice young people. Nuremberg pastor Bernd Grasser said: "It's just wonderful when teenagers commit themselves with their hair and their skin to the bible."

Ridiculous...no other way to describe it. The five other links on that page show clearly what happens when the church becomes just another charitable organization, and nothing is out of bounds when raising money for "good purposes."
Your quotation proves to me the power of secular humanism and religious pluralism is running rampant in the West (and I'm not one of those ranting fundamentalist moralist types either). You gotta call it how you see it sometimes.

Yeah, Justin has a thread in Christianity 201 on it.
Trouble is, non-theists (maybe it's non-Christians too) need permission to post there.

I know *I* would be. But you have to think of the girls. Do it for them.

well here it goes...
There's a way this could be okay and there's the way this was done.
It seems by the tone of it all they have nudity for the sake of nudity. That situation IMO is idiotic for anything ment to be taken seriously (whether fact, fiction or faith). Now if they had actual illustrations from artists that had nudity to begin with or the artwork portrayed nudes without the "to apply to younger audiences" intent then it would have been okay.
I may not be Christian but I grew up in a catholic home and consider the Christian Cultrure part of my heritage and that is rather silly and insulting.
