Foreign Language Translation (http://www.naturalspiritministries.org/bibleindex/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=2)

Written by Scot Arnold Thursday, 16 June 2005 Here is something I thought of. It came about when I was
thinking about foreign language, Bible translations and word for word
translating. There is a phrase in German that means an
exuberant "You're nuts!" or "You're Crazy!". The phrase
is: "Du hast ein Vogel!!" If the phrase is translated
literally it would mean (word for word): Du= You, hast= have,
ein= a, Vogel= bird. A literal translation of this makes no
sense to an English speaking person. Understanding the converting
of one language to another is something that escapes most people.
Sometimes meaning goes beyond the words.

Sure so you could try the NIV who tries to stick to the meaning of the sentance, or the KJV and actually learn the Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic needed, or you could just ask God and trust that the Holy Spirit keeps His books in order, even the TOC that He prescribed, and knew you would have the translation you needed to recieve Him in the time you are in right? Prov 3:5-7 Rom 3:4.

Amen!

PS: I'm now hearing:
("hoping that he's made for more then arguments and failed attempts to fly..." Switchfoot the Beautiful Letdown LP)

with Love and blessings for you.
