It would be probably also involved with another church down there with which there is some connection. I may get to be involved in an event like that.

Visit the basilica of Our Lady Of Guadalupe.

That may or may not be where the church is going and sounds like a touristy activity rather than something for evangelism.

They would be evangelizing you! The spirituality of the Mexican people is one of their great assets.

They would be evangelizing you! That is not quite the direction that is to be the emphasis of the event.

Do open air evangelism: go to parks, apartment complexes, markets, etc. and share the Gospel with people that you come in contact with. A great door into the people's hearts is through evangelism to the children. Invite the children to a party club where you tell them Bible lessons, sing songs, play games and give them an invitation to receive Jesus as their Savior. Seeing that you care about the children will mean a lot to the people.

Making a small picture book with english subtitles might spark their interest and pay off for them later in life. Kids usually like to learn about different languages anyway.

what age group are you reaching out to? What's the purpose of the trip? How many people are going? Who's your daddy? To what part of the city? It all depends on too many things to really just be able to start throwing out random things for you to do. An outreach to a bunch of orphanded kids would be completely different than an outreach to a bunch of homeless middle aged people and both of them would be completely different than an outreach to a bunch of high schoolers. Whatever the outreach thogh, I would show them God's love in everything you do, for they'll know we are Christians by our love. Take with you a sense of humbless and love and no matter what you do, it should all work out pretty well.
