This essay is in its original form and has a story behind it. I Daniel Arnold am a student at Michigan State University who decided to do a debate on Abortion because I needed the extra credit.
Normally, I have a tendency to abhor making speeches to classes. It's just not my thing. But the Lord gives me grace when I call upon His Holy Spirit to lead me in speaking situations when I have a message from Him to share.
So I made it my determination to create an essay that would provide logical argument for abortion alternatives that a very secular Big Ten university lecture hall would listen to. My prayer was that it would effect just one person.
Being the procrastinator I was I didn't finish my research until midnight and then I began creating my speech for the early morning class. Praise the Lord that He had plans that superseded my groginess, medical condition, and yeah procrastination. With powerful Mocha, I finished my arguments just an hour before class.
Then I practice what I would present to 180 college students. The Holy Spirit took my Manic-Depression and put it to good use as I confidently and prayerfully presented the case for abortion alternatives with an extra jolt of energy. With no sleep, the Spirit prepared me to answer any question the lecture sent in our direction.
After the debate, students indicated to me that the words God had given me in fact made an impact. So I took those words in their unaltered form and presented them to my ministry-- Natural Spirit Ministries last fall.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post and God Bless!
