It was on TV the other day, he is the transcript from the Drudge Report:

BUCHANAN: Right. "The New Republic" -- today I read a long report in "The New Republic" said it is an anti-Semitic film, just about flat-out. What's your take?

DRUDGE: They haven't seen the darn film and those of us, every single person in there, and I'm not talking about tears, I'm talking total tears. It is something Mel Gibson stood back at the end and took questions for about an hour, and he is -- he told me he's tired of Hollywood. That this is it. He's going to do it. He's going to do it his way, and this film, I tell you, is magic. It's a miracle. It's a miracle...

I am drooling already... looks to be a fantastic movie. If you can make an audience weep over a movie in another language without subtitles... that's really something.

Whoops! I kind of stole your thunder over in Pol Sci. Sorry.

Anyway, as I was reading this and the other article I posted, I got to thinking that we Christians should be well-prepared for this movie to come out. There will undoubtedly be many people who will come to Christ after seeing it and we should be there with open arms.

Are you being a jerk on purpose or does it just come naturally?

No, we should be preparing the soil NOW! They will, in most cases, reject our ineffectual efforts, but they will need something to connect with when the conviction comes later. If we are not presenting them with an option for practical application of the faith, they run the risk of being stillborn.

Don't wait. Get busy now, even if it is only a simple thing like presenting them with a tract or a small Gospel of John with the question, "Say, have you read this lately?" and leaving it at that.
They will need a connection.

Just wanted to drop this link so you can see for yourself that Gibson is a Catholic traditionalist, meaning he does not support the Second Vatican's overruling of the charge of deicide placed on Jews.

http://www.iht.com/articles/104990.html

Also, look up Gibson's father "Hutton Gibson" who denies the Holocaust and blamed all the world's problems on Jews.

And as a Jew, I'd like to say, "thanks either way". We're used to it. Its uncanny how 18 million people control the entire planet so easily! :)

Simply because Gibson doesnt support the many, changes that Vatican II made doesnt in way mean he believes the Jews should be held racially responsible for executing Christ. He's stated many times he doesnt hold that view. But why bother believing him when we can just accuse him of being a racist.

Second, are you saying that because his Father has those particular views that he automatically holds them as well???

Yeah, right. There's more evidence that Gibson hates snakes then there is that he hates Jews.

The only people who are making the Jewish people look like a bunch of angry pharisees ready to crucify an innocent man without weighing the evidence are the Jews who are condeming Gibson as a "racist" without even seeing his picture.

Well said.
