And boy, does it ever show why these infidels with degrees in philsophy need to mind their own business when it comes to Biblical scholarship.
I'll have my reply up shortly as an addendum to http://www.tektonics.org/tomb/parsons01.html
Kind of funny too to see Ed "Chicken Liver" Babinski babbling away with his thrice-refuted nonsense when he can't face me here. :hehe:

Dear Bob,
Vic Reppert, the owner of the above blog where I posted my comments, read Leaving the Fold: Testimonies of Former Fundamentalists, a few years ago, and contacted me afterwards, and we've been friends since, though we differ on a variety of topics. Still, Vic and I have remained pretty cordial. Vic and I also agree on such matters as the Bible not being an inerrant text, Genesis as myth, and the evidence for evolutionary "common descent" being strong. We even agree that it appears unjust to damn people without first giving them sight of the truth. This earth certainly appears filled with far too much ignorance, cares and woes, waves of desire, fears, emotion, etc. to make the clearest choices concerning ones beliefs. Vic has even wondered and asked how "Satan," a merely finite being, can be gathering in more souls into his web of error than God, an INFINITE being with INFINITE wisdom and INFINITE power at his disposal, is capable of doing. In reply to such questions, Vic has proposed that perhaps there is a "second chance" after one has died and truly seen things "as they really are" up close for oneself in the next life. My point being that I share more common ground with Vic than I do with you.
I also suspect that your own understanding may profit more by conducting scholarly dialogues with moderate Christian scholars, such as those at Crosstalk2. Dialoguing with folks like that, or even with the works of James D. G. Dunn (N.T.), or John Walton (Genesis, O.T.), and other scholars whom I could name, might help you to expand your agnoticism in more areas than you presently allow.
Cheers, and in all friendliness and cordiality,
Ed

Nice way to avoid the issues, Edski -- with your usual misplaced diatribes on nothing.

I'll send ya'll a bouquet. :flowers: Either way you're too chicken to face me here, which is why you retreat and yap "behind my back" about me.

Check my bibliographies. Been there. HELLO?
