Animal Husbandry 101 Guidelines

Greetings Animal Lovers!

Welcome to Animal Husbandry 101, this is the place for all things animal.

Did you get a new pet? Tell us about it.Do you have a question about pet care? Ask it here. Are you thinking about getting a pet? Let us know.

There are a great many animal lovers at Tweb anxious to hear about and join in the fun.

In addition to the regular set of rules called the DECORUM, others rules will be enforced here as well.

1) Please keep all pets on a leash.
2) Please clean up after those pets that aren't quite paper trained.
3) Gerbils are not good pets. It's a long story

Thank you and let the games begin.

My cat Buddy got bored last night and the whole house knew it. He was pawing at boxes and furniture looking for something to "hunt" or play. So like a dummy I felt badly and gave in to his pitiful sad low pitched hunting meow. So I gave him a string waved it around. He looked slightly amused. Then I walked up the stairs with said string in hand dangling it. He followed. I was amused and threw the string. Instead of simply bringing it back to me (which he did until the past year whereupon he has expressed distressed at the baby hogging his attention) He gave me the look. The cat look and purr. I went and got it, and like a dummy was enticed in a game of run the string up and down the steps purely for kitty's entertainment (and I must admit somewhat of my own) for some time. Then I threw it again and told him I was done playing for the night. He finally agreed, because he promptly came up the steps and jumped on the bed.
    I'm a dumb human and he's a smart cat.

Next time fasten a laser pointer to his head and let him amuse himself

He doesn't do laser pointers like some cat's. He figured out the light source wasn't real the smart aleck....
