Yesterday:
I stood in the midst of conflict and I wondered.
Death knocked at the doorway of my life.
Evil forces attached me.
I fell far short of attaining my goals.
Yesterday I wondered if somehow my faith in God had failed me? “Where are you God,” I prayed?
Moments later as if carried by the winds of time I heard a faint voice whisper, The Lord, God gives death and life, brings down to Sheol (hell) and draws up; The Lord, God makes poor and rich, he humbles and also exalts. He raises the poor from the dust, he lifts the needy from the dunghill (deep dejection) to give them a place with princes, to assign them a seat of honor; for to Lord, God belong the pillars of the earth, on these he has poised the world. He safeguards the steps of his faithful but the wicked vanish in darkness (for human strength can win no victories). {1st Samuel 2:6 - 29 NJB}
Then just as quickly as it came the voice disappeared and in the aftermath I felt a silent power embedded deep in my heart. My feeble faith came face to face with the Faith of Jesus and instantly his Faith over powered mine and I felt as if no power on earth could defeat us.
In your walk today if you feel as if your faith in God falters ask Jesus for his. It’s yours for the asking.
