The Lobby is not for serious debates, there are other areas for those types of conversations. It is more for relaxed chatting or discussing things that don't fit elsewhere. Politics, religion and philosophy have their own place on the site

  • Married Men & Women-Do u call your parents for Valentines Day?

Do you call your parents to wish them a happy Valentines day or just share that with your spouse.

    Nope.

Actually, so far I've managed to forget to say to the wife "happy valentines day". So not even to my spouse!
No Silicon Heaven? Preposterous! Where would all the calculators go?

I wouldn't call them specifically, but if I happened to talk to any of my family the likelihood is high someone would say Happy Valentine's Day to me.

thanks, my husband calls his mother every Valentines day (she is single so he feels it's the right thing to do) and I never called my parents for the specific purpose of wishing them a happy Valentines day. Nothing wrong with it but it struck me as odd for the moment since I've always associated it with a 'romantic, lover' type holiday. He also said in Latin cultures it's known as Dia de la Amistad which i never heard of and I'm latin. (for goodness sakes). Actually, I think it's odd.

Stick to tradition and celebrate massacres.
