Hi, can someone answer me this please

Do Non-Catholic "Christians"* accept ALL of the Early Church Fathers (given that they cover over 800 years)? And if not, is there a chronological division between when you accept them and don't? Thanks.

Hiya Sev. Let's look at your question.

First off, generally all churches recognize the first four councils as authoritative in church history. The conclusion they reached is true since it is in accordance with the Scriptures.

We don't accept the ANF as infallable. We do accept them though when we see them in accordance with the Scriptures. We realize in some ways to quote Fred Sanders in an STR tape, "They are our older brothers who can beat us up and steal our lunch money." I agree with them on many points and disagree with them on some, but I can only pray that I match their devotion.

Hope this helps!
