Do you remember getting on of those magic slates as kid? You know the ones where you write on with a sharpened stick lift the plastic and the writing disappears. That’s similar to your life. When we sin we put a mark on our lives but when we repent Jesus lifts us and cleans our lives!
I wonder if that’s what the Psalmist was thinking when he wrote: "How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the Law of Yahweh! Blessed are those who observe his instructions, who seek him with all their hearts, and, doing no evil, who walk in his ways. You lay down your precepts to be carefully kept. May my ways be steady in doing your will. Then I shall not be shamed, if my gaze is fixed on your commandments. I thank you with a sincere heart for teaching me your upright judgments. I shall do your will; do not ever abandon me wholly."
[Psalms 119:1 - 119:8]
Many think repentance is saying “I’m sorry God,” only once. They’re wrong, eternally dead wrong! Repentance is not a gate into the kingdom of God…Repentance is a road leading to His kingdom. Putting it in simple words repentance is a way of life. Repentance is turning one’s life in the direction of God, taking Jesus’ hand and getting on with life.
Today may you present yourself to Jesus and allow him to clean your slate.
Jesus is………BIGGER THAN LIFE!
