Peace is the presence of Jesus Christ not the absence of conflict!
And Jesus said, “I have told you all this so that you may find peace in me. In the world you will have hardship, but be courageous: I have conquered the world.” [John 16:33]
If you were to interview one of histories greatest Christians the Apostle Paul it wouldn’t be long before you realized he would not be a good candidate for a “Become a Christian Poster!” He was beaten, jailed, shipped wrecked, became an outcast in some social circles, had an ailment that would not go away, and eventually was murdered for his faith in Jesus!
Can you see what I mean!
Who’d want to go through all of that if they didn’t have to?
I often wonder if I could face the adversities Paul did or some of the other early Christians who were murdered in Roman “games” have you?
To be a follower of Jesus Christ is no easy task in fact it would be an impossible task if it weren’t for fact that Jesus is present with us when invited. One of my favorite pictures is one where Jesus is knocking at a doorway.
Whatever adversity you face whether it be physical, mental, spiritual, financial or anything else Jesus is bigger. Jesus to the Apostle Paul and every other Christian whose been used and abused since was bigger than life.
If your Jesus is not bigger than your life he’s too small give him a bigger portion of it and watch him grow!
