I've been working on this for almost a year. Well, I haven't actually been working on it for that long, I just started it a year ago and occaisionally pop in and mess with it so the activity is: ignored for 3 months, worked on for 2 and a half hours, forgotten for 2 months, worked on for 2 hours, etc....

Anyway, some of you will remember when I was talking about this in February. Some of you got a copy. Well, I virtually ignored it except once or twice until last night. I'm finally getting the hang of this windows programming thing :yipee:

What this does is popup a verse(hence the name :teeth:) in the lower right corner of the screen. Click on the verse to have the full thing come up in a box.

Fixed Bugs:
"Lingering" taskbar icon. When you'd exit, the PV icon would remain in the taskbar. This has been resolved.
A bunch of other small stuff nobody would notice unless you were using a developer's debug version :dunce:

Added Features:
A bunch of small internal stuff to make things better and easier to maintain, but nobody really cares about that :teeth:
The ability to configure how often it comes up. Now set to 30 seconds. Note that the dialog settings editor still has not been added, this can only be configured through the registry.(mostly as a test to ensure I understood regestry creation)

Here's a screen shot, in the next post I will post the actual file.(zipped up it's only 76k, unzipped it's 200k)

Remember that this is Alpha software, which means it's in very early stages of development. I've been running it ALOT lately, so it should't give you any trouble. But it might, and I can't take responsibility if it erases your harddrive, maxes out your credit cards, forces your inlaws to move in with you or any other horrible stuff.

Use at your own risk.

BTW, the verses are a mixture of KJV, NKJV, and NIV.

I will eventually standardize them in World English.

Cool Cir ... except that some of the verses run off the right hand side of the banner

But still super cool d00d :thumb:

Don't they have the little ellipsis to indicate they're too long?

Yep

Good. I tried to make it so the box would expand with the verse, but that didn't work so this was the next best thing.

I remember testing this along time ago :thumb:. From the screenshot it looks like it's come a long way! I'd download it, but I don't want to risk my in-laws moving in with me  (jk!)

How much is in it? 20 verses? 100?

Can we alter the font; mine is bolded and nearly unreadable, and it misses extra characters.

Is there a copyright issue, using NIV and NKJV, in that you should include the acronym?

All the verses will eventually be redone in the copyright-free translation WEB. You can't change the font yet, but that is planned. And, IIRC, there's something like 80 verses in there. :thumb:
