I think not, my fiance thinks so- though neithr of us are theologians. We really want to look deeper into this.

Hello! Let's look at this question!

First off, both of you ARE theologians. Even the atheist is a theologian. (He has an idea of what god he does not believe in.) You may not be a professional theologians, but you are theologians.

Secondly, my honest answer is that I don't know, but I have this general response to it.

Let us suppose that a group of top doctors got together to have a council on whether perfect health was possible or not. Let us suppose that they even decided that it was. What good is that discovery unless they help us to live in perfect health?

Thus, I would say we can discuss whether it's possible to be sinless in this life or not all day. Here are some more relevant questions though.

What are you doing to help me eliminate sin from my life?
What am I doing to help you eliminate it?
What are you doing to help each other eliminate it?
Are you walking in love with your fellow man?
Are you striving to be more like Christ every day?

Those are the kinds of questions that you can answer at this time. There's no sense discussing perfection unless you're someone doing what you can to help others get there.

Hope this helps!
