I used to go to Brooklyn every saturday and worked with kids there. One of their main towers(actual a series of 4 towers) are there. We took a tour of them one week. I have to say its a very apealing life for a seeker. Everything from laundry to meals to recreation is taken care of. However, they were very nervous when are group went through like they were hiding something from us. Has anybody else ever taken the tour in Brooklyn or at other towers around the country? What was your experiance?

Please get the book "Crisis of Conscience" by Raymond Franz - former member of the governing board of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. Then RUN away from this dangerous cult!
You might also want to contact DavidAReed, who is a member of tweb and an authority on the lies and misrepresentations of the Witnesses.........

Just to clarify I wasn't going because I was seeking something. I was going to be edcuate in it. I have no interest in joining them. My faith rests in Jesus Christ the one true son of God who bore my sins on the cross and rose again.

You don't want to be educated by them.

I understand that. On this tour is not really about learning their beliefs but understanding there lifestyle. I didn't find it a problem going to the towers. I feel its imporant to understand it from their perspective.

As long as you realize that they truly are a mind-control cult .......but then, why bother going to see when you can read material that explains their beliefs and lifestyle by former members who can give you more insight than you will ever get walking around their buildings......

because i don't believe there was anything wrong with that. I can discern the lies from truth. Plus I went with the rest of my minstry teams. It was a enlightening experiance. A motivational experiance sometimes these provide more love than christians out there. Sad.
