Did anyone see this last night? It looked pretty good. I didn't see all of it, but the graphics were nifty.

My son saw it, and we taped it. He said we get swallowed up by a black hole in a few trillion years...

It was VERY good. Not a rehash of the same-old-same-old. It went into their nature, how they interact with other bodies, and what happens if too much or just a little matter tries to get in at the same time. Plus a whole lot more, including how we go about investigating black holes. Excellent graphics.

Yeah, I saw it. You mean in the sci-fi channel? Oops, sorry, the two often present so much stuff on the fringes of science and rationality that it's quite easy to get them mixed up, you know.
As you say, the graphics were "nifty" but so are the graphics in any good sci-fi movie.
I love it how we "only" have to wait tens of millions of years to confirm most of their speculations. The scary part is that this stuff is called 'science' and real money (lots of it!) is spent doing it.

Another great post there, Jorge. Care to point out the errors, or will you just assert, as ever, that science knows nothing and you know everything?
