Kairos log: Well we woke up to some bad news today. Coffield unit had a riot and uprising last night. So we were not able to go in. It takes 6 months and thousands of dollars for our team to prepare for one Kairos. Out of 20 years and 40 missions we've only had 4 times where the mission was cancelled at the Coffield maximum security prison. The warden knows the impact of the ministry and we've been allowed to come in even during lockdowns and shakedowns for many years. So it was heartbreaking. Our... team grieves, walking around in circles wondering what to do with all the preparations we have made and that others have contributed. But "Kairos" means God's time. Not ours. Although we are all heavily disappointed the warden was only looking out for our safety. Anytime is a risk, but what is a mission without risk living in full faith and trust God is in control. And so He is, so now we pack up and head back home. Your prayers are still powerful, keep them coming and we will start again to prepare for the next one in the spring.
