Twitching Eyelid

My eyelid has been twitching on and off for about a month. It is horrid and when I try and get to sleep at night it is very irritating. Has anyone had this and what helps

I get that when I'm stressed.

It goes away when I'm not - I'm on beta blockers at the moment for the migraine symptoms of stress.

That's interesting Jnthn, I also get migraine and I think I am stressed and more so of late. Of late my doc has me on 75mg dispersible asprin each day.

Of late my doc has me on 75mg dispersible asprin each day.On the migraine front, I took over-the-counter paracetamol products (I don't take asprin as I have a history of ulcers), but even then, the migraines broke through and often deprived me of the ability to work and sleep. The beta blockers (Inderal LA - 80Mg) has been a wonder. I'm into my second month of using them.

I got that for a few months when I had a summer job working in a bank. Not sure what caused it; at the time I thought maybe it was hayfever, but had never suffered with hayfever before or since. I guess it could have been stress, but I didn't feel particularly stressed at the time (I'm a rather laid back person!). In short, don't really know what it is; but it did leave eventually.

There's an irony to this, but it's probably got some validity. I've had this, briefly, at times. Never been an extended problem. Hope it goes away soon for you.
