And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb 9:27 (KJV)
Watchtower Society tells us we will be given an opportunity to be educated in the Lord's way after we die. When we pass our "exam" we will join the saved on earth for eternity. Those that fail will go to sleep for eternity. Where is there an indication of a period of time between "die" and "judgment?"

And if they are right, then why should we even bother to become JW's today?
Shouldn't we hedge our bets by staying traditional Christians? That way if we are right we go to heaven and they don't - but if they are right we still go to heaven (well paradise anyway)
It's a win-win for us! :woohoo:

Spako say:-
"It's a win-win for us!"
Not so!
Jesus made this point on "traditions":_
Matthew 15:6
"And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition."

that makes no sense barry. I said "traditional Chistians" meaning "normal orthodox Christians" It had nothing to do with "tradition" as Jesus was using the word.
Do you know what context is? It means you can't just rip a verse out of the bible and throw it at someone like a club.
Try to stay on topic.

To explain.
You say that it is best to remain as a “traditional Christian.”
That will be to no avail as Jesus said on ‘traditional’ religious notions to the religious clergy in his day:-
Matthew 15:6
““And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition.”
Which also applies to today’s “traditional christianity” as it does not follow the teachings of Jesus but sticks to “tradition” instead as the religious leaders in his day did.
Thus Jesus has already passed his judgment on those who hold to “tradition”; the so-called orthodox way!

Barryrob, I can hardly understand your posts any longer, you have gotten very incomprehensible. Are you feeling well?

The thread is "Judgment Now or Later? "
As I have just shown you Jesus has already judged those today who consider themselves to be "orthodox christians" as those who hold to ungodly "traditon," from his view point, thus they will not be judge "now or later" as they have already been judged as "making the word of God invalid" thus rejected by him and The Father, Jehovah!

But I thought you said that anyone who doesnt die in armageddon, and doesn't blaspheme the holy spirit will be resurrected in the 1000 year millenium and get 1000 years to turn to the "real" God?
Are you now saying that only Jehovah's Witnesses will be resurrected in the millenium?

Have you met Mononoke, Barryrob?
You sound an awful lot like her.
Go here and ask her about Jehovah....
I started a thread. She would like to meet you and talk about being a Jehovah's Witness.

This belief of the JWs is UNBIBLICAL and therefore, FALSE.
According to the Bible, the moment a man dies, he is already JUDGED and his destiny is certain.
Jesus said: "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come forth - those who have done good, to the resurrrection to life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation" (John 5:28-29).
If the man has "done good" he will be resurrected to life. On the other hand, if the man has "done evil" he will be resurrected to condemnation.
Those who have "done good" are "IN CHRIST" or "baptized into Christ" (Gal. 3:27) and will meet Jesus in the air when he comes again and will ALWAYS be WITH the Lord. Those who are "IN CHRIST" will have eternal life with the Lord. They will reign with the Lord for a thousand years (Rev. 20:4).
Apostle Paul wrote: "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the DEAD in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall ALWAYS be WITH the Lord" (1 Thes. 4:16-17).
Those who have "done evil" are NOT "in Christ." They "will NOT live again until the thousand years were finished" (Rev. 20:5).
After the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and together with those who are NOT "in Christ" surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them (Rev. 20:8-9).
Those who are "IN CHRIST" are WRITTEN in the Lamb's Book of Life and will ENTER the Holy City, the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:27, 10).
On the other hand, those who are NOT "in Christ" are NOT found written in the Book of Life. They will be cast into the lake of fire" (Rev. 20:15).
As you can see, the moment a man dies, there is NO way that he can ever change his destiny.
Jesus said: "He who believes in him is NOT condemned; but he who does NOT believe is condemned ALREADY because he has NOT believed in the name of the only begotten son of God" (John 3:18).
Those who do NOT believe in the son "love darkness because their deeds are EVIL. For everyone who practices evil HATES the light and does NOT come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who DOES the TRUTH comes to the light..." (John 3:19-21).
