20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. 21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though j every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. 22 “As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
Most Christians believe that Gods blessing to Noah is that earth will not be destroyed by water but next time by fire.
My question is “How is it a blessing to Noah if God promised not to destroy the earth by flood but by fire?
The verse seems pretty literal that God is promising to never destroy all living creatures but wouldn’t burning up the earth destroy it and kill all living creatures? How does this bless Noah?
