Don't know exactly. On the blood test it may have been related to taking acetaminophen (for fever reduction) every day for almost a week until the day before.
What other than meds creates stress on a liver that might show up like that?
What can be done other than ceasing medicines that will make life easier for a functioning human liver?

It is true that the particular drug you mentioned lays waste to your liver. I think it would be good to see how your liver functions in the absence of that medication.
If you want some scientific journals related to the study, let me know and I can send several your way.
Be well.

Yes, lay off the acetaminophen. That'll do a number on your liver by itself.

yes, together Acetaminophen and alcohol together have more than 10x the damaging effect on the liver than either do alone.
Drink lots of water. Liver damage is mostly toxin related and drinking water will help flush out unhealth toxins that are in the body. When you feel like you've drank too much water, drink more. It helps.
If you do decide to drink alcohol, then drink coffee as well. Though it won't help you sober up, there are some significant studies that show it will help reduce the risk of liver disease among alcohol drinkers. Here's one of those studies (Acetaminophen).
There are certain types of enzymes in the blood that will effect liver damage. Those who drink alcohol regularly have higher levels of those enzymes but those who drink coffee as well regularly and alcohol will have lower enzyme levels than those that drink alcohol alone. If you want to really do well, avoid alcohol, drink lots of water, and a cup or two of coffee a day.
If all else fails, just drink til you're completely wasted and can't feel a thing. Then have your spouse or a very close family member simply cut you open and have them remove your liver. Heck, who really needs it we're all gonna die one day anyways. While they're at it, you might as well get the kids and have them all play a real life interactive version of that great child-hood game we all remember so well: Operation
