  • Validity and Reliability of testing teens and children.

How do psychologists account for the variable of not being cooperative in testing? Because teens may not take an intellegeince test seriously and not do as well. When I was 16, one of the tests I did was a test where you write short sentences to complete phrases(e.g. Boys are... , Mothers... , At bedtime... , The best time...). For some reason, I just filled in tautologies and scored low average(e.g. At bedtime I go to sleep, when I was younger, I was a child). Maybe I took it to literally? Or maybe I just didn't want to do it, so decided to just put down basic factual stuff. What intrigues me is that doing such a simplistic job of it still got me low average. Or maybe I was just tired or there was a time limit?
If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

They might test more than one time and use different tests.
