Rather than making a bunch of different threads, I thought I'd start one thread and include a bunch of different resources in it that I know of and that I think will appeal to people here. I don't agree with everything stated in the following resources, but I'm happy to share and offer them up. I'll post a few tonight and more later.

Anyhow:

Covenant News.com's essay on "In Defense of Christian Activism" gives a unique theological and philosophical approach to the whole subject, and it can be found here: http://www.covenantnews.com/frame060420.htm

Pressureworks.org's section on Christian activism can be found here: http://www.pressureworks.org.uk/campus/xsj/index.html.
It includes info on Christian aid, chaplaincy, just action and the student Christian movement.

Christianity.ca's section called "Mission" can be found here:
http://www.christianity.ca/mission/features/canada.html and http://www.christianity.ca/mission/features/global.html.
It includes news stories and examples of what Christian mission work is like in Canada and Overseas. Several good articles are available on activism, particularly on homelessness, poverty, etc.

Edit: for some reason, I didn't read the sticky at the top. Since this forum is specifically for abortion issues/defending the rights of the unborn, the above three links might not be wholly relevant, but all are of great value, I think, particularly Christianity.ca and the Covenant News essay.

Catholiceducation.org's lesson plan on "is the fetus a person?" can be found here: http://www.catholiceducation.org/articles/lesson_plans/lp0006.html .
It's a lesson plan for older teenagers, alerting them to the value of human life, and it's drawn up from Christian thinkers' positions on pro-life issues: Kreeft, Irving and Dougherty.
