(Note the following is an except from the pamplet I wrote titled "Zion, City of God" describing the various shops one may find in God's Holy City.)
The Zion, City of God School for the Blind...
Today is the first day of the rest of your life!
Today you will discover that time waits for no one and you will find yourself rushing blindly into the future.
Before you leave the city allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to The Zion, City of God School for the Blind. It is here where you will learn to see with the eyes of your spirit. It is here where you will learn to trust in the unseen nail scarred hand of Jesus.
As you enter the store you are suddenly confronted with darkness, darkness such as you have never experienced before. Turning around to leave a voice calls out, “You do not need your physical eyes here open the eyes of your spirit heart. Suddenly a bright light illuminates a giant movie screen, yet mysteriously the room is still dark. Watching intently you see scenes of your past appearing on the screen. Each scene unfolds before you in some scenes you see the hand of Jesus on your shoulder comforting you. In other scenes you see angels protecting you from danger. Still other scenes you watch as the Holy Spirit guides and teaches you.
“History is but a prophecy of the future,” a voice rings out, “Have I not comforted you the in past? Have I not sent angels to protect you? Have I not given you the Gift of the Holy Spirit to guide and teach in all truth? Do not be deceived by what you see with your physical eyes. Learn to depend on the faith built on past experiences. Learn that many times faith will lead you blindly into the future and as the future becomes the past you will see clearly.”
Suddenly you realize that The Zion, City of God School for the Blind isn’t to teach a blind person to see and cope with life but a seeing person to become blind and cope with life! As leave the exit door and close your eyes and open the eyes of your spirit a whole new world opens up to you.
A world of promise.
A world of hope.
A world of peace.
A world of forgiveness and reconciliation.
A world of love.
Walking away you hear the same voice calling to you, “Remember do not fear the storms, fear only not closing your eyes and seeing the Storm Master.”
Remember Jesus is... ... ...Bigger than life!
