God’s greatest desire today and every day is to communicate the richness of his presence in your life. It does not matter if you’re a seasoned Christian veteran; a newcomer, a hopeful, or a prospect the Spirit of the Living God spans time and space with words especially for you this morning.
Following God’s instructions to the letter, “Jacob said to his family and to all who were with him, ‘Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you; cleanse yourselves, and change your clothes. We must move on and go to Bethel. There I shall make an altar for the God who heard me when I was in distress, and gave me his help on the journey I made.’”
[Genesis 35:2 - 35:3]
If Jacob were to address you today as he did his family and friends long ago he might say something like this, “Dump everything that comes between you and Jesus. If you seek riches seek Jesus, if you seek possessions seek Jesus, if you seek social status seek Jesus. Because the day will come when all you’ll have is Jesus. As you move through life make each day an altar of thanksgiving to God who has out his love has brought you thus far and will accompany you into the future.”
Throughout the days of ours lives God’s Spirit blesses us many, many times some of which we’re not even aware! Take a few minutes today and give thanks not only for the those times when you’ve been blessed but for God’s desire to let you know He’s always with you!
Remember Jesus is… … …Bigger than life’s burdens!
