Alright, it's not quite as exciting as Pilgrim's news. Sue me.

My wife and kids went to the humane society and picked out two new kitties. The first one is a "blue" and "cream" female tabby named Molly. She's home with us now. The other is a striped orange male tabby (much like one of our previous cats, which is why my son picked him) named Bandit. He had just gotten neutered, so he couldn't leave the shelter today. We'll be bringing him home sometime tomorrow. Molly's adjusting to her new home quite well. She was scared of me a little when I came home from work, but I won her over.

Awwwwwww :teeth: KITTENS!!! Eeeeee!!!

Yeah. I know. Pilgrim's baby didn't get the same reaction. What can I say. I'm a crazy cat woman. :hehe:

Aw! I checked on her and she's sleeping on our bed already.

Watch out! Kitties have a way of wrapping their tails around your little finger! :teeth:

(Personally, mine's thoroughly SPOILED. Yours both will be, too. I can tell!)

I have to admit that I approached the issue of getting new cats with a fair share of trepidation. Now that I've had even just a couple hours with Molly, I'm wondering what the heck was wrong with me.

Shadowmaster is a dog person.

Shadowmaster discovered how to a flip a cat so that it does not land on its feet. Sylas could explain the physics involved.

:hehe: My reaction is much the same as Storico's. 'Cept I'm a crazy cat man, not a crazy cat woman.

I don't think we need Sylas to explain the physics of the effect of gravity on a dead cat you dropped. :brood:

Congrats, Dad! Hint: buy a Littermaid - believe me, it's more than worth the money!

Shadowmaster flips only live cats -- both before and after the flip.

Pure physics and pure fun!

heh heh

Evil truly DOES lurk in the hearts of men.
Dog loving, cat flipping men like this one, anyway.

Shadowmaster says that the cats love it. Keep running back for more to see if they can win.

We don't have a digital camera, so pics would be a long time coming. We have a [second-hand] video camera that apparently can take digital pictures, but I don't have the slightest clue how to use the feature or how to get the pics from camera to computer.

Buy a disposable. Take pics. Order a CD when you have them developed. Upload from CD.

Problem solved.

I can't believe how much these cats are like our old cats. The grey speckled one likes to lounge around all day like our Persian did, and the orange striped tabby likes to climb to very high places he shouldn't like our previous orange striped tabby.

I know an old hippie who has a bumper sticker on his aged Camry that says "Cats Not Brats." Now that my kid is almost 16 I tend to want to agree with him.
