Obviously Mr. Tony Auth, whose cartoon this is, is joining in the chorus of Catholic bashers, simply because five good men decided, through some strange biochemical reaction in their craniums, that sucking out the contents of an infant's cranium was a bad thing.

Good link and article Dee Dee, and I think that the decision was the LEAST the Supreme Court could do about abortion.

There are some poor saps in this country who think that Christians shouldn't be allowed to vote - for some reason.

The question is, for what reason?

In a democracy the best way to silence your opponents is to make sure they cannot vote.

Thomas Jefferson once said that democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding on what to eat for dinner. I'd say it's a pack of 'em, but... that's another topic

Anywho, I wouldn't attribute cartoons like that to genuine hatred of Catholics, I can understand - though disagree - on their view of this. Fortunately, or unfortunately - depending on how you look at it - both sides of this debate tend to get very, very emotional about it.

I highly doubt that any pro-choicer is literally in favor of slowly sucking out the brains of a child while it is still alive.

Bill O'Reilly played a tape of Rosie O'Donnell ranting on the "View" about too many Catholics being on the SCOTUS and demanding that there be a separation of Church and State. What incredible ignorance so arogantly displayed.

Thanks for the thread. I thought about making it, but then I'd just be whining. :smile)

You know, for a while they had a rule in place which created a special Catholic Supreme Court Justice, in order to represent them fairly. (I guess during those times, a large portion of the country was catholic but they were under-represented in govt )

Separation of Church and State = all Christians, Muslims, Jews and other religious people create states of their own and wait patiently until the Atheist + Agnostic states have self-destructed... :hehe:
