It seems like a mild case of assertions and culture impairment to me.

My opinion is that it's a pretty weak article for being posted on a website with a byline of "where knowledge rules". Mostly a set of "shock value" lines pulled out of their context, with personal opinion judgements about each one.

Alex, dear boy, why would you post that on this website? Trying to raise ire? I see that you dream of being a writer. I reluctantly have to tell you that you are, thus far, lacking serious depth -- that's why there are no serious rebuttals to your article. Pulling a few verses out of the Bible and putting little zingers at the end obviously doesn't bring out the angry Bible-thumping, Christians you might have been looking for.

Your comments about "religion" show a lack of understanding of the thing you are attacking. Know your enemy, son. Bear in mind that you will have to refute some of the greatest minds and best writing of the past two thousand years.

Here's one place to start: http://www.ccel.org/index/author-A.html

Feel free to PM me for other sites, when you finish sifting through that one.

Now, as to your intent. Meaning no disrespect, most modern atheists that I have come across are just lazy. Usually, I find no defensible feeling or logical theory that "there is no Higher Authority". They simply don't want to take the time to believe in anything; and they build a defense of their non-belief from there. That's fine. I don't know enough about you to comment on your purposes, so I won't. It's up to you to decide if it's really soooo important to attack Christianity (or religion in general) that you will write and post things like your "Article on Religion."

If it is so important for you to save the 95 percent of the world who has this religion crutch, you will need to have better reasoning than merely "Wow God that's kind of harsh...." (You also might work on your grammar.)

One thing that might surprise you, as you look through those authors' writings that I mentioned above, is that we are not all idiots, nor are we merely fooled into believing in some mythical entity because of our lack of education or lack of self-confidence or our insecurities that create a need within us to believe in something other than ourselves, etc. Some of us have actually studied and considered many aspects of our faith -- including the most basic "Is there really a God?" -- and come up with an unshakeable "yes."

I tell you what, I know of a once-atheist Oxford professor named Lewis. He wrote a book called "Surprised by Joy" back in the mid-20th Century. Also, "Mere Christianity." If you want to, forego that website above and just give him a look. He's a pretty good writer. Tell me what you think.

Good luck.
