After reading END TIMES Posts and observing the responses I think I would like to respond to END TIMES approach and Point something out that often goes unrecognized by many that read the scripture on latter day scenarios.

Often times People get criticized for an approach that seems out dated or poorly expressed. But typically and to me basically most often misunderstand is what is really behind END TIMES approach to discerning or extracting the reality of Revelation or The revelations of Revelation that occur in the mind. Christians in the early part of the churches history often used this approach. The language of Spiritual revelation of mind and the prophetic events future or revelation of the present events, was a characterization of an event that would occur or was occurring.
The vocabulary of the past revelation trying to explain something in the future always presents problems for those who exist at the times of the prophetic events fulfillment. IN the Early Church the metaphors used to characterize those principle attributes of the allegorical languages was a means to spiritually characterize an observable reality defining at times or characterizing the relationship.

The unchanging nature of the spiritual characterization of the object used, (as a descriptive) often provided a constant theme to express the spiritual enmity between God and that which was transpiring. The Natural world often provided a language that once the perspective of the spiritual characterization was established the metaphor became a way to cleverly conceal the actual object the metaphor was directed at.

Having the scripture or the text didn’t always help when we acknowledge when it came to Messianic fulfillment. Even the most learned of the Jewish community wrestled with the reality of their fulfilled prophetic texts. Why were the unlearned and the poor so willingly ready to except the prophetic fulfillment? While the learned choked on its reality.
What is lost or gained by ones willingness accept the fact that all prophetic texts will manifest themselves in an observable phenomenon? What often is the message in the scripture is that one can avoid the eternal judgment by acknowledging first, that all evil as good is spiritual in nature. And will eventually manifest itself in an observable reality.

The Christian faith by nature is spiritual warfare to avoid a very temporal consequence. We are taught that Sin first exists in the Mind or is spiritual in nature and if the spiritual corruption isn’t dealt with, it will eventually manifest itself in an alternate reality in the temporal state.
Why would Christ teach that Good works will be preceded by a good spirit? If the spiritual transformations don’t manifest themselves in an observable reality, what’s the point?

Why are we told to watch? And not be caught in a state of slumber. And what good is our new spiritual insight if hour new spiritual insight doesn’t explain what transpires before our Eyes. The observable world is the expression of the spiritual.

It doesn’t mean our final analysis is always correct.

But, if our new spiritual insight doesn’t lead to discernment of that which is observable it is corrupt or something else is wrong. The spirit of denial is at work at all times and roots itself in the iniquity of many. The unwillingness to accept the reality that unfolds from spiritual enmity with God brings the judgments.

amen, maudman! It is the spiritual essence of things that is truly guiding history. And from the standpoint of Rome, the modern spiritual crisis did not emerge from nowhere. Indeed, the utter depravity of the secular messianism is but the final stage of a long process in which, gradually, humanity decides to believe less and less of the deposit of faith. For with the Muslims, they will accept everything except remove the Trinity and Incarnation and impose a supposed extra-Christological Revelation. With the Orthodox, everything is accepted but the special mediatorship of Rome. With Protestants, it's worse: accept only the Scriptures, that is, deny not merely Rome's special mediated fatherhood, but in fact deny the general mediated fatherhood of the Apostolic Succession and its associated Oral Tradition. With the Enlightenment, even worse: deny even Scripture and remove the supernatural from religion, be content with a mere natural religiosity. Finally, the modern age is utterly depraved: man places his faith exclusively in this world, and denies even the general natural law which is evident from reason. How much more so then would this process be veiled in the trumpets, so that the trumpets are not so much literal physical calamities as they a symbol of the gradual worsening spiritual conditions, conditions that are truly forming the backbone of what is really driving history. and as you say well, Maudman, first comes the spiritual death, then later the physical. So then, the modern spiritual death is paving the way for physical death. Just give it time. The devil's deceptions that man is just fine without God and the material world suffices cannot last forever. Indeed, eventually the consequences come. But it is the spiritual that is the essence of this. the temporal calamities are but the symptoms.

Blessings to you, maudman!

Hello Spauline

Nice to here from you.

I think you got the jest of my point. There has to be a spiritual calamity before the physical one. Those decieved in the end will not know their spiritual crisies untill the physical one accurs. Caught unaware so to speak. There is one verse of scripture that explains part of the deception.
It is the story of the wealthy upright young ruler who had been faithful in life. When he ask Christ what shall I do to enter into this life that christ spoke of. We all know Christ repy and the man had done all of them since his youth. That is what we do to enter into this life as well as the life of the kingdom. BUt to enter in to the temple that rules the kingdom one must sell all he has and follow him.

He was willing to do that which allowed him to enter into life but not that which was required to enter the ""perfection""

Although it is impossible for those that amass material wealth to enter that temple they can enter life and indeed as our Lord says in the scripture its not impossible for rich a man to enter the kingdom it is required and its the type of wealth that we amass spiritual not material. Being righteous in life had its bennifits. Material properity was one of them.

In the end Many will have been decieved and will be truly disapointed when they find out that entering into life isn't the same as entering the perfection. They were doing one thinking they were doing the other. There will be wailing and lashing of teeth.

Early Christians new the difference, That is why they held such authorities and leaders in the Church with high esteem. They new those individuals chose to enter the perfection of the temple that was beyond the entering into life. This was part of the calamity and the contradiction that fueled fire for the rebellion. Tares sown among the wheat. CLergy entering into life mascarading those that where entering into perfection.

God bless you too!
