Some neat thoughts
Well I read John 14:27 awhile ago and it goes something like "My peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you" And I read it and it didn't hit me right away. And when I sitting in mi coche waiting for work to start later that day... and I really didn't want to be there, I was really tired... but I had an extra 10 minutes so I put on some praise music and just started thinking...
The peace that Jesus gives cannot be flawed in any way. He is perfect so thus any thing He gives is the best there is out there. There is no other way to get the peace that Jesus gives.
And not only is it perfect but it is infinite. That is a main reason why Christians can have a faith that assures. God's blessings are infinite and will never run out no matter how much you need them. One can know that Jesus can never cease to satisfy, comfort, and heal.
So this perfect, infinite peace that Jesus gives comes from the assurance of God's infinite power and His perfection.
Before I realized this I had a knot in my stomach and I wasn't relaxed at all. But after my realization I felt a deep inner peace that I knew only God could give. So I pray that will happen to you soon.
I think on a Steven Curtis Chapman CD it has the song, "Be Still and Know that I am God"... during stressful times I know that I need to do that and reflect and rejoice on His unchanging nature in a changing world.
