hi,

I am sorry to ask you this, I know I am still a newbie but: what is dispensationalism? this is the first time I've ever heard about this term, and you have a whole forum dedicated to this issue... I'd like to know what this is about.

I found this text (http://www.frii.com/~gosplow/disp2.html) in the internet, but I don't know if it's a reliable source for this matter. could you please help me?

also, if you could post your 'position' on this issue, I'd thank you a lot for that.

For an "anti" link, the site you're looking at seems okay.

Here's a link to Bob & Gretchen Passantino's "Answers in Action" apologetics site. They have a reputation for presenting various pov's accurately whether or not they subscribe to such views.

DF or 'dispensationalism is a system of thology that teaches that History is divided into verious periods 'of time in which man is tested in respect of obdience to some specific revelation of the will of God'.

The SRB and the majority of DF adherrents recognize 7 'dispensations. This group includes many 'Baptist' and Pentecostal denominations in the US. A group represented here recognizes 12 'dispensations.

DFs are always pre-millennnial and most hold to a pre-tribulation view of the 'rapture'.

TBN , Tim LaHaye, Hal Lindsey and Pat Robertson are well known dispensationalists.

take care
