I've been told that a lady named Miriam Lichtheim translated some Egyptian writings about "magic" and in doing so found a piece on a pressure point used by the Pharoah's magicians.
This pressure point, when used properly, will make the snake stiffen out like a stick. Then the magician would throw it to the ground, releasing the pressure point in the process, and the snake would slither away.
Has anyone ever read this author's books "Ancient Egyptian Literature", and is this indeed what she presents?
Moreover, does anyone know if this actually can be done?

Thanks

I'd like to know about that too. At one time I had over 40 snakes, pets and breeders, and I never saw any do that.

Usually if you grab a snake too tightly or cause it discomfort, it constricts, writhes, bites, craps on you, or all four.
