Your reality of Jesus Christ is dependent upon how you perceive your needs! If the world were to come to an end 30 seconds from now what would be your greatest need?
Would it be a steak dinner?
Would it be a roof with a 3000 sq. foot mansion under it?
Would it be a new and exciting career?
Would it be a new companion?
Would it be another year of good health?
If the world were to end 30 seconds from now your greatest / deepest need would be to believe in Jesus Christ because when the world ends He’s all there’ll be left! “Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life, but anyone who refuses to believe in the Son will never see life: God's retribution hangs over him.” {John 3:36 NJB}
It may sound cruel on the part of life that we spend all our years building “castles of life” only to have the shifting sands of time wash it all away but unfortunately we are not creators of the journey. But it is on this journey we prepare ourselves for the journey of eternity it is on this where we discover Jesus the Truth, the Life, and the Way of eternity.
Peace on your journey!
