View Full Version : Help Needed in TWeb Islam Section

We need some more Christians, preferably with knowledge of Islam, to come down into the Islam section of TWeb and help minister to muslims down there. There are only about 2 or 3 Christians down there taking on all the muslims and muslims need our help badly.

See especially Masta's post about the Prodigal son which shows great deficits in understanding God's love and grace:

So come on down! :teeth:

thanks!

I'm sick of being told that I just make it a political issue, or I'm just venting against it. The way I see it, let the Muslims have at each other and we'll go in and convert the survivors.

me and Faramir spent something like 60 pages arguing with the Muslims here and all they do is ignore anything we say and keep repeating the same thing over and over. Its like trying to debate Mononoke.

I find that most muslims posting on non-muslim boards are far outside the muslim norm, and that this is the case on TWeb as well. In fact, most are sufi, despite the fact that they represent less than one percent of the total population. My feeling is that they post here because it gives them a chance to avoid being taken to task on their own "heresies" by other muslims.

As ever, Jesse

I agree. the ones I have interacted with are pretty out there.

I dont think we will convince them of anything, but our words are written down for anyone else to read.

I have a file of responses to their repeated questions now and I just copy and paste it

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that there are many, many muslims who visit TWeb as lurkers and are reading the posts, so our time is not entirely wasted.

Hello and Peace be to all,

So, you guys are trying to convert people here eh??? Hey, give it your best shot, if you depend on Narnian to convert people all I can say is good luck. Narnian, what you are good for is stating your own opinion without being able to back it up. Whatever you try to bring up, I will try my best to refute it, and I hope all the other muslims will help as well. I guess I am not allowed to post anything into trying to convert Christians to get on to the main page of Tweb am I???

Moose, of course you're allowed to try and convert Christians to Islam. I thought that you were already doing dawa down in the Islam section.

I am copy/pasting the introduction message to this forum:

Now while all worldviews are welcome, and we do not shelter our beliefs from criticism, we do not hide our bias towards the Christian worldview in that this forum does exist to ultimately glorify Christ as we believe Christianity has answers to the challenges and can compete in the marketplace of ideas and philosophy. With that in mind, the interpretation of what falls outside of our rules and decorum is governed by our Christian worldview, and as this is a personal ministry, all members of staff are Christian agreeing to certain basic essentials of the faith, but widely differing on multiple issues of secondary importance.

Our moderating style and level of involvement is ideally on the light side. We only change that in situations of absolute necessity, so you will find that a lot of leeway is given here as we prefer to let members debate and work out issues with little interference from staff.

So jump in and join the community. You are welcome here regardless of your faith or lack of faith, but we will love you enough to try to bring you to Christ.

Sincerely - $cirisme, Dee Dee Warren (me), and yxboom - your Forum Despots

Good luck in your converting! Let the TRUTH prevail whatever it turns out to be.... :teeth:

Hello and Peace be to all

Hello and peace to you as well, though there is no true peace outside of Christ, so in Christ and in Christ alone, I pray you peace.

As a forum page article? No. This is a Christian-run site, and we don't hide that fact. Note that I didn't say it was a Christian site. Since we welcome all and allow pretty free reign, it is not a Christian site as I would define such. However, in our areas where we use our bandwidth and space to promote specific causes, they will be Christian. Reaching out to Muslims I fear is sadly neglected among many Christians - some of it due to a misplaced Zionism that forgets that that there is no Jew, no Palestinian, no Arab, no Chinese - no racial or ethnic barriers. All can be one in Çhrist and we shouldn't make those distinctions IMHO.

Howdy Moose,

You speak as though there's some kind of game being played here where one side wins the other by the force of their cunning arguments.

That's not it at all.

There's truth and eternity at stake, it's not some glorified game of twenty questions, our eternal destinies are in play. That should be enough to give a all pause when we venture into a discussion here. Don't you agree?
