I was ready through some stuff I wrote and came across this. My hypothesis was Paul was using the word love as code for God. So based on the NIV, I rewrote 1 Corinthians 13 and replaced every occurance of love with God. I think I might be on to something.

Many Christian fundamentalists are vehemently, rabidly anti-catholic. Their main criticism is often idol worship. After all catholic churches have all those statues. Statues are idols, right?
