With Carneades, I say probablity counts, and with David Hume, William Kingdon Clifford and Ernest Nage , I advise proportional your beliefs to the evidence, not like the rush to judgment of Keith Ward and William James![
All arguments from reliigous experience merely reflect people's own minds at work, and to posit Him as making them would beg the question. So, to say one has the beneficient experience that makes Him real without doubt, cannnot instantiate Him!
To generalize the argument of the Euthyphro, all natural causes, science, how people feel and other matters are independent of HIm! He is a useless redundancy, despite McGrath, as the Ockham notes
How then can one have a personal relationship with Him? How would that relationship be different from having " special friends?" Does He become telepathic God in the relationship?
By the way, I'm no Christian, because of the hypocricy of some Christians but, becaue o to follow its commands reflects barbarism!
We naturalists don't try to escape it to indulge in immoral behavior but instead to fullfill rational morality!
We rationalists deeply realize the emotionsinvolved in clinging to that relationship. Ti's then a psychological aspect to confront./SIZE]
