After three years of unemployment, I returned to school to get my Paralegal Studies AAOT. I was also on food stamps and had to take out loans for school. In March I had spoken to my caseworker who upon finding out that I am a student, informed me that my eligibility for SNAP was in jeopardy. She told me that I would need to provide proof that I had been approved by the school to participate in a Work Experience program. When I reapplied I had supplied my award letter as well as a letter from my adviser stating that I had been approved. I began my internship the following week. Friday, I had my interview only to be told that there was nothing that could be done for my situation. The plain fact was that I no longer qualify for benefits.

And then today, I received an email from the school saying I have an overdue balance of around 300$. It turns out that my adviser failed to mention that the internship was billable due to my getting credit for it. I have no way of paying it and if it isn't paid, in full, by July 5th, it will be sent to collections and I will be barred from registering for future classes. When this happens, my six month grace period for my loans begin. There was no communication, no official notices and they won't accept payment plans.

I don't know what I did to tick off God, but I am in serious trouble. All I can say is, I hope it's not too much of me asking for prayers. At this point, I really need help.

Thanks.

And this time it's the wife, not me. Not that mine are fully gone, but at least I'm functional.

Wifey went to the ER last night, just shy of midnight. CAT scan ruled out appendicitis etc, but she has a "distended colon" just the same. No idea other than it might be "a viral infection of the colon". Will likely visit her doc today (she came home at like 4am), and I get to play Mr Mom for at least today and likely tomorrow, as she's not allowed solid food until the symptoms go away...

Wifey went to the ER last night, just shy of midnight. CAT scan ruled out appendicitis etc, but she has a "distended colon" just the same. No idea other than it might be "a viral infection of the colon". Will likely visit her doc today (she came home at like 4am), and I get to play Mr Mom for at least today and likely tomorrow, as she's not allowed solid food until the symptoms go away (naseua, vomitting, pain).
Thanks.
I found a job advertised at the University of Portsmouth as an archivist, which would pay £15k a year. Given that I need money in order to do an MA, I very much need this job. Such a salary would not meet the financial requirements, however, to allow for QuantaFille to move to the UK once we are married (which is £18.5k.) However, if I am on Disability Living Allowance, we would be exempt. My DLA is due for renewal, and so I need to re-apply. I ask that people would pray for my job application and my DLA renewal application would both be successful.
