It is such an amazing thing that so much has been found which was written, or inscribed, to do with the name, as well as the expression, of the Most High. Not to mention the decalogue along with other mentions of various parts of scripture. What's aspect of this issue that I find most saddening is the fact that every language lost represents not just the loss of human cultural diversity but also represents the loss of knowledge as well.

Do any of you linguistics think it is possible to compare some verses from the Hebrew Scriptures in the Hebrew language to some verses in the Qur'an in the Arabic language in order to tell if they came from the same God? Both Hebrew and Arabic are sematic languages. It sounds possible to me. Thanks.

BYU's Corpus! All theology debates aside, BYU has really taken a huge ton of time to compile a lot of information into these corpuses. Just search for a word in any of the corpuses (I tend to like the Time Magazine one, personally) and it'll show you how many times it has come up in the past several decades as well as providing individual quotes. It rocks! Note: it may be a little confusing at first, but it's really cool once you get used to it.

I live in Kastrup, a southern suburb of Copenhagen and home of Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup. This is simply a thread for me to argue the meaning of words with warcraft3. It didn't seem to fit anywhere else. I know this is a bad fit, you don't need to point it out to me.
