I would love to have a discussion on studies surrounding tribalism. There are a couple of threads in other forums which touch on the subject...one on witches in Africa and another on natural societies but do not focus on tribalism per se. Many anthropologists now believe humans are naturally tribal and even in large modern society we still tend to form "tribes" in a sense. This "tribal mentality" is also found among many primates as well as other species. I will leave it here for now to see...

I'm performing a study to answer a question and I would greatly appreciate your time and participation. The question is: Is there a definitive correlation between your personality type and where you place your faith in regards to both religion and politics? Population crowding affecting attitudes, moral views, and politics... Just some random musing...books to read would be appreciated 1. Provisioned populations of monkeys in Japan engage in more social activities, which creates more social tension, and more aggression. Does this crowding affect people? Are attitudes affected by the number of people you see each day? The number of "strange" vs "familiar" faces?

I just went to Israel with an amazing Prof name Steven Notely. He has written an atlas of the historical geography there. I was wondering if anybody has ever heard of him? His speciality is really 2nd Temple judiasm and how it applies the Gospels. He worked along David Flusser too.

I'll start out by saying that I wasn't able to find a whole lot, and one of the articles I did find was on JSTOR, and I'm not sure how many of you have access to JSTOR, so I'll give a quick overview which I will try to expand on later.
