The key to all of God's secret is Christ himself (Col. 2: 2-3; Rev. 5) who, contrary to conventional Christian wisdom, is knowable firsthand and personally as initiated (John 1: 35-51); developed (Ibid, 2:19; 3: 1-21; 7: 37-39; 8: 21-28; 10: 17-18, 37-38; 12: 20-36; 14; 16; 17); and finalized in the cause and effect of the perfect and diacritical death of Jesus Christ on the cross according to the Scriptures (Ibid, 19: 30-37; 20: 8-9).

What is the mainstream Christian view of Christian Science?
I have a friend who has joined our church and was in the Christian Science church. He has been asking some questions and I want to answer him, but I want to understand his background or the background of his past church.
Anyone have any good resources and can some of you educate me a little?

Satan killed Annanius and Safira to draw Peter into his trap.
We see in the Acts that they were killed for their lying. It destroyed the early commune of the church, the best example of Christian principles at action. Would Christ have done it? Never! Believe and understand Christian salvation or lose your soul.
One can’t properly use something if he does not believe and understand it. In my neophyte years I tried to believe and understand with scanty success. I knew God as love through the Christian message. Before that I believed God as super power. It had degraded me so I came to Christian message. I'm curious to know what Christian readers here find as the single biggest argument against the idea of the salvation of all. Would prefer thinkers capable of intellectual honesty, no "Cause the Bible don't teach it" stuff.* If you can't make a reasonably well thought-out case, please don't post.
Try to distill your case into no more than three primary reasons, from greatest to least. Not sure I have time to get into too deep a discussion on it, and universalism has been argued to death here...

Has anyone ever noticed that none of the Epistles, and not even Revelation make use of the Gospel accounts? Not once do they quote Jesus, and when they do they attribute the words of Jesus directly to either Isaiah or Psalms.
It is as if the story of Jesus was the secret content throughout Psalms and the Prophets. As if they were not speaking of a recent historical event, but something that was an as Paul put it, the Secret Mystery of God now revealed.

Many believe He did (e.g. Trinitarians, JWs, Mormons et al). Some do not (e.g. Christadelphians, et al).
I hold the view that He did. In this thread I would like to discuss, in particular, the prologue of John {1:1-18}, the first chapter of Hebrews {1:1-13) in addition to a few others as I believe these emphatically demonstrate that Christ preexisted His entrance into the world of humanity.

Simple questions:
Will I go to hell if I believe that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are separate God? What about if I believe they act as one?

There is a tale of Buddha’s early life about a wounded swan. It was brought down by the arrow of his cousin brother Debdutta. It fell where Buddha was sitting. Church is neither a building nor the punctual respectable worshipers assembled there. Mosques and temples also have such people. Church is the humble and childlike people thirsting to be God like and those eager to help them (communion of saints). So Christ was among the harlots and publicans, not among the Pharisees and synagogs, claiming to have God.
So to be in church we must find such people. Then the communion of saints will follow.

I’m a Gap theorist. I believe there is a gap between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 of an unspecified period of time, and unknown episode of events (perhaps even periods of evolution). I believe Genesis 1:2, and beyond, is expressing a “replenishing” of life forms on earth. In other words, the life forms we currently see were created about 6,000 years ago, but not the earth itself. In another thread a member of the forum stated that believing in the Trinity and basically accepting Jesus as God himself made him a better person.
Now I respect this, but the problem is I see Orthodox doctrine as a way to be-little opposite theories in the name of God, in the name of established doctrines. In our group of believers we have delivered many from demons but this one will not go. Has any one dealt with some one who has been possessed with a demon that has come from a Mummy? This particular lady now 41 years of age is zealous for Christ yet manifests dramatically during meetings particularly when we are praying in the Spirit. Non-Christian religions are all ritual. But Christianity as Christ taught is not ritual. It is practicing love. By this practice we strengthen our loving capacity which in turn unites our soul parts to give us more integrity. Love is the root of lasting unity in and out. Integrity gives us strength to be victorious. So love practice automatically makes us victorious in the end. It also unites us with Love-God and love-heaven.

Why does the false teachers and preachers put conditions upon salvation ? What they don't know or believe is that man by nature is dead. That is spiritually separated from God..

Blasphemy to gods is honor to Heavenly Father and vice versa.
Muslims really obey the god of Abraham, Moses, David and their laws and mode of action. Their Allah is derived from Jehovah’s Aloha name. They regularly execute sincere Christians for blaspheming their god and prophet. Thousands of Christians had died and still dying in their hands for this.

Throughout the Epistles of Paul, James, and Peter - we get the impression that Jesus was expected to return immediately at the "end of ages".

There is a lesson in this.
John 10:35-36 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?
What do we call that blaspheming today?

The correct view is Trinitarian - that being said, here are the three failures:
1. Trinitarianism generally fails to understand that the LORD God is only One Person.
2. Modalism fails to understand that the Son of God and the Holy Spirit are different persons from the Father.
3. Arianism fails to understand the Son of God and the Holy Spirit are God with the Father.
