I've read Isaiah 22:18 in almost every version of the Bible, i tried to harmonize it somehow in my brain but i cannot. Who here considers themselves Apathetic Creationists? In case you don't know what that means, I'll lay down a definition: An Apathetic Creationist (AC) is one who believes that God is the Creator, but expresses apathy towards questions of how He created or how long it took. If was just called evolution or naturalist-evolution , that would seem to infer that there is no supernatural involvement. I've heard it said that the "gap theory" is considered outdated, and that not many people hold to it anymore. I'm wondering why this is, and if folks can give me the pros and cons of this theory. The one major issue that bugs me about the gap theory is that it doesn't really seem to give a satisfying answer for why death would occur before the fall... although, with a little imagination I suppose I could come up with a few reasons.
