    Okay, this may seem exceedingly stupid - I'm not always first to the party - but how does the law compare to other ANE laws/cultures? It occurred to me today (okay, so sometimes I'm really late to the party) that rather than the stringent, repressive code that the law is often represented as being it might well be a much freer, egalitarian code in comparison to its ANE counterparts. Rather than a curb on freedom it might be a curb on the excesses of the world at that time (I'm hoping coherence is showing up here 'cause this is harder to phrase than it should be).

    A reader yesterday suggested one cause of emotional doubt is the silence of God. Indeed, I had been planning on getting to that topic, but since it has been brought up, I might as well get to it.     As of this date Easter Sunday 2013 is just another day on the calendar, or is it? (Please give me a moment so I can get up on my Soap Box.) I continue to see pictures of Jesus dying on the cross or pictures that depict the horrific events leading up to his death on the cross yet scenes of Jesus’ resurrection are few and far between.     One of the worst kinds of emotional doubt a Christian can go through is the doubt over their salvation. Many a Christian has gone through this and are relieved to find that it is a common doubt in fact. (Yes. Even I have gone through this kind of doubt and in fact am glad I did since it ultimately got me into apologetics.)

    Got Faith?

    This morning Glory Seed contains edited portions from Prayer Journal if you journal you know journal’s are private and should not be shared with anyone else. However, there have been a few times when the Holy Spirit prompts me to share what I’ve written in my journal this morning is one of those rare occasions.

    What is a sign of emotional doubt? Let's talk about it on Deeper Waters.

    Imagine you're a Christian with some background in apologetics. Now you have someone who is coming to you who's also a Christian and is doubting and you present a case to them and make it clear throughout that this is where the overwhelming evidence leads. The person you're trying to help agrees that all that evidence is extremely strong, but ah, here comes the objection.
