About draw2much
Howdy! I'm a "military brat" who ended up being a "military spouse". I married in 2003 at the tender age of 19 yrs old. Statistics say our marriage was doomed! But by the grace of God and a "never give up" attitude, we're still happily together today.

I've traveled all over the USA and the world. My foreign destinations are: Egypt, Scotland, and Japan. My Stateside destinations are: Mississippi, Florida, Minnesota, South Dakota, Texas, and (currently) Wyoming.

I love reading fantasy and fantasy/comedies type books. (Piers Anthony and Terry Pratchett all the way!). I'm partial to comics (American or Japanese) but I've really gotten into web-comics lately ( and are my go-to places). My favorite genres for comics are fantasy, comedy, and adventure. I love movies of all sorts but can't handle horror or suspense.

My other hobby is electronics, with a emphasis on DIY desktop computers. I've built 6 computers or helped someone build them. I'm the "computer girl" in my family and people come to me to fix their electronics. I use Microsoft Windows OS because I like to game and draw and WINE can only get you so far in Linux (but don't misunderstand, I like what the Linux community is doing and I support them). I like Macs but my wallet doesn't.

I am a born-again Christian, baptized at the age of 8 yrs old. I was raised in a nondenominational church (which was NOT some weird charismatic off-shoot). The teaching I received was similar to what you'd get in a Baptist church. As an adult, I have a hard time saying where I fall theologically... probably evangelical. I like, and agree with, a lot of what's written at and , so hopefully that'll give you an idea where I am in my understanding of God and the Bible.

Politically I have no idea what I am anymore. Choices are pretty much limited to Republicans and Democrats in the US, and I find myself disagreeing with both. I was a staunch Republican when I was younger, and if my past self saw me now, she'd probably call me "wishy washy". Well, sorry past self, it turns out a lot of issues aren't as clear cut as you thought they were.

I own 3 cats. Two of the three were adopted. The oldest is high-strung so only gets along with my husband and I, but the other two are "people cats". One actually likes children, if you can believe it! I'd have more cats if could, but that'd make moving difficult (a lot of rentals have a 2-pet limit as it is).

I don't hate dogs. I've had good experiences with them my whole life. Unfortunately, you can't leave a dog alone for days at a time like you can cats. So until my husband retires and we can get a consistent pet-sitter, we're stuck with cats. ;)
