They apprehended him using guns! oh the horror. Why couldn't they just ask him to give up politely without resorting to pulling guns on the poor guy?

- Biography:
- There are only two reasons I remain a Christian. 1) Knowing God personally. 2) Knowing God on the account of the genuine gospel of grace.
_____________
I was lead to Christ as my Savior in 1962. My sectarian view point is baptist. Though I am not a Calvinist, my view is Calvinistic, I believe total inability of men to merit salvation do to sin. And I believe God does the saving and does the keeping. I believe in conditional unmerited election. I believe that Christ suffered and died to provide redemption for everyone. But only secures salvation for His elect, and it also sets the further condemnation of the lost. That salvation is wholly by the grace of God, which men's sinful nature causes men to resist. I believe in the mortality of the soul and the eternal suffering of the lost. And eternal life, the immortality of the souls of the saved. Repentance from trusting in one's own dead works precedes saving faith in God's Christ. I believe in the post trib pre-millennial return and resurrection and rapture of all who are Christ's. And the resurrection and judgement of the lost after the millennium. I believe the one true God as one Person being the Father. I hold the trinity explanation of God being without beginning or end, being three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That the Son of God is God's temporal agent in all things. That the Son is the agent of creation, and in both the appearing and revealing God to man. God being eternal and immutable. The only begotten Son being both eternal and temporal, being eternal, without beginning, not begotten nor made, and being both eternal and temporal as Creator (John 1:1-3). Creation being a temporal act. I believe in the incarnation and virgin birth. In becoming man, He did not cease being God. That He lived a holy sinless life, died on the cross for sins of all men. And was buried and rose bodily as the first immortal man. Ascending into the heaven of heavens to be our mediator until He returns at His second coming.
