  • Snow

On the last day of winter we got around 10 or 12 inches of snow. I got on my snow plow and cleared the driveway. The next day we got another couple inches. The road crew plowed a berm across our driveway, so after church I got out and plowed the top of the drive to clear the berm away. Hope that is it for this year, but no guarantee.

Summer before last I bought an old four wheeler with a blade on the front since my snow blower was getting a bit hard on my back. I have scarcely used it the last two winters, but if I need it I have it.

It has been sunny and warm and the snow is melting We shall see how it goes.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

We had a whack of snow overnight Sunday (first day of spring) until this morning. Probably about 4 inches. Although quite a bit melted as it fell.

Then it froze last night and continued to snow and the roads were horrible this morning.

I shovelled some. Wet and heavy. Hopefully it's the last until December.

But the robins continue to sing merrily as if their lives depended on it.

Securely anchored to the Rock amid every storm of trial, testing or tribulation.

We're having our final few warm days before autumn starts kicking in. I got some house renovations to get done before the rainy season (i.e. winter) starts. I also must remember to sweep the chimney and finish up my changes to my woodbin

How long is your rainy season? March and April seem to be the worst, but it rains ~8.5 months here. It's really annoying.
          I'm not here anymore.

Starts about halfway through Autumn, and in a good year carries on until mid spring.

Wow, that would make for really gloomy winters.

When I lived in Tacoma, our driest times were during the summers, strangely enough.

meh, we have a saying, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes.

most days have a fair amount of sun and rain (snow down on South Island).

Winter is also rugby and netball season, so lots of parents out in the cold and rain watching their kids, with their lips turning blue, playing sport.

Lots of fresh snow here. Oh look, it's still snowing.

I like the cold and snow. I dread hot summers.

Summers do not get hot here in coastal Alaska. It is very rare to see an 80 degree day.

Been a southern winter. I doubt we in NH got a foot of snow. Maple syrup season is over with too.

Oh dear. Good thing I stocked up on groceries this morning. Snow's coming in sideways.

Well, we actually probably won't get much snow out of this.

                          Probably.

OAK logs, Raphael? Wow...we use pine here as a rule, I think. What kind of oak?
