  • Trump's attacks American judge as Mexican

    Source: http://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trump-keeps-up-attacks-on-judge-gonzalo-curiel-1464911442

Donald Trump on Thursday escalated his attacks on the federal judge presiding over civil fraud lawsuits against Trump University, amid criticism from legal observers who say the presumptive GOP presidential nominee’s comments are an unusual affront on an independent judiciary.

In an interview, Mr. Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel had “an absolute conflict” in presiding over the litigation given that he was “of Mexican heritage” and a member of a Latino lawyers’ association. Mr. Trump said the background of the judge, who was born in Indiana to Mexican immigrants, was relevant because of his campaign stance against illegal immigration and his pledge to seal the southern U.S. border. “I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest,” Mr. Trump said.

My ex-wife was Mexican. She was born in Michigan to parents who were both born in Michigan. But they are of Mexican descent. Stupid thread again, Shuny...

Trump said he was Mexican. He's of pure Mexican descent, therefore, Trump is right.

Not the point of the thread, Bill.

Trump assuming someones heritage necessarily has an effect on their ability to do their job is the stupidity/bigotry shuny is pointing out.

So, are you admitting the title is click-bait then? And will you slam Shuny for doing what you slam Seer for?

A)It's not click-bait. A persons heritage is irrelevant to their job, but old Trump couldn't keep his bigoted mouth shut. It's a pattern, Bill. The guy really has a thing against Mexican people.

B)I can't remember the last time I said anything about seer.

So? As Secretary of State, Hillary sold her loyalties to the highest bidder, and she kept information vital to the security of this nation on an unsecured private server, and she protected her rapist husband by destroying the lives of his victims and intimidating them into silence. Then, of course, she instituted policies that directly contributed to the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, and she spent weeks lying to the American people about the details of the attack. And that's just the tip of the iceberg for Crooked Hillary.

So that's your candidate, and you want to attack Trump for correctly identifying a man's heritage based on his name? Yeah, OK.

FYI: I don't like Hilary. As far as I'm concerned, she's a bought stooge like the rest of em'. The reasons I don't like her really has nothing to do with any of her scandals - where the right has no room to witch hunt.

It's more the fact that she's an empty person with nothing to offer. The way she plays the victim card when she's in a jam is pretty nauseating to me, when she's one of the most privileged people in the country. I also don't see her as being anything more than a woman that piggy-backed on her husbands accomplishments.

Calling someone a Mexican because they have Mexican heritage is standard practice. Shuny's title implies it isn't. He is wrong.

Actually, it isn't. It's not enough to recuse, but it is a consideration if it is relevant.

                              Damn.

Are you trying to miss the point? It's not Trump calling the guy a Mexican that's a problem. The problem is Trump's constant character assassinations of all that disagree with him, and his resorting to some of the most childish name calling we've seen in politics. I mean, if he stated a black man shouldn't prosecute white criminals, would you defend that?
