  • Being an ambassador to christ

That is a pretty serious task to be an ambassador. To bring peace and understanding. I must say I do try. I was wondering what can and should we do as ambassadors to christ?

Proclaim the gospel; love God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself; and live a life worthy of the call/salvation you have received.

      One of my favorite stories...

When George Shultz was Secretary of State, he would bring newly appointed Ambassadors into his office for 'one final test' before sending them to their assigned country.

He had a large globe in his office, and he would walk over to the globe with his guest, and ask, "Point out your country on the globe".

The newly appointed Ambassador would turn the globe to find Japan or Peru or India or whatever country was their new responsibility, and place their finger on the globe accordingly.

Shultz would step in and turn the globe back around and put his finger on the USA, and say, "no, THIS is your country --- never forget that!"

HEAVEN is our "country", we are only Ambassadors in this foreign land called "earth". We need never forget that.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

There is a ministry called Stand To Reason which teaches Christians as how one should be an ambassador for Christ.

. . . that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: . . . -- 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: . . . -- 1 John 5:1 KJV
