Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2016: Year of the Blessing…
    Getting real…
    Shalom!

Dear Journal... There are times LORD when my faith gets a little shaky and I need a little nudge from My Sacred Friend with a little bit of divine encouragement. Life right now seems to be a little overwhelming, out of control, and spinning off into some dark abyss. I know that goes contrary to my normal day-to-day life, but I do have days that are not normal (whatever normal is). It is times life this when I think my outer-self’s level of insecurity is on the rise for reasons mentioned, which explains my need for a little extra TLC from You.

If you do any journaling does that look like something you’ve written in your journal, or if you don’t journal can you associate that with a prayer? I argued with myself before using a portion of my own journal but my resolve to make Glory Seed Devotional’s as real to life as possible won out. I have discovered there are those living life under the “I can stand alone” guise, I am not one of them.

Do you remember the parable of the man on the roof of his house and the flood waters creeping up and he asked God to send him help. God sent three people to help him, but he rejected them because he asked God for help. The man drowned and then asked God why he didn’t rescue him. God told the man He sent three people to rescue him. I am not that man, I would have gone with the first one in a heart beat.

And the TLC I need come in the form of love, hope and peace from Jesus himself. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.” (John 14:27–29, NLT)

”...but I will come back to you again.” And December 25, 2016 Jesus returns, again, this time not as an adult as we expect but as a newborn infant, not in reality but in the recesses of our imaginations. It is is the birth of Jesus where the reality of God’s love, compassion, and hope are renewed in our hearts.

Jesus comes not to eliminate the dark abysses but to shed his light and accompany us through them. Dependency upon Jesus is a necessity not an option! And last be not least, Jesus is just as real as life itself is!

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”**
    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
