    This is not going to be good...

    Russia's ambassador to Turkey has been assassinated in front of terrified witnesses allegedly in retaliation for the crisis in Aleppo.

    Bad blood between the two countries only stretches back 700 years. Russia would like nothing more than to take back Constantinople for Christianity.

                Mr Karlov was several minutes into a speech at the embassy-sponsored exhibition when a man wearing a suit and tie shouted "Allahu akbar" and fired at least eight shots, according to an AP photographer in the audience.
                The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

                      I doubt it was sponsored by the state, Erdogan has no incentive to reignite another conflict with Russia. Probably really was some guy who's very very angry about Isis/Al Quaeda getting hammered in Syria.

                        I think, unlike the US, the Russians won't hold press releases promising to do things they never get around to doing.
