Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
Prophetic words of preblessing from the Psalms...
    Shalom!

Ever have a day when at the end and you finally get some time to yourself and you bow your head and pray. “My life is down in the dust; give me life through Your word. I told You about my life, and You listened to me; teach me Your statutes. Help me understand the meaning of Your precepts so that I can meditate on Your wonders. I am weary from grief; strengthen me through Your word.” (Psalm 119:25–28, HCSB)

I am sure there are many who may not have needed talk to God as the Psalmist did in chapter 119 verses 25-28. But then there are others (like me) who need to revisit it from time to time as a reminder when things begin to go sour. One of the things I am good at (think of it as a bad habit) is when God is slow (slow to my thinking) to answer my prayers and I cop and attitude and pray, “that’s okay I’ll do without Your help God,” then invariably as time goes on my prayer goes like this, “God, my life is down in the dust and I need help.” Trying to handle my life without God’s help is like playing Russian Roulette with a Colt 45 with one round in the clip, it’s not gonna turn out good.

I am going to ask you a question I am 99.99999% I know the answer. Have you ever been reading in your bible when all of a sudden WHAM! You’ve just read a verse or two that you know without a doubt God just spoke to you? Perhaps you didn’t read it but heard someone else reading it. I primarily use Logos Bible Software (from Logos.com) and reading or studying I always use the hi-lighting function when God speaks to me. There are times when I’ll feel the need to hi-light a verse yet it leaves me “cold” but then at a later date I’ll come across the hi-light and WHAM! When I first hi-lighted it God was preblessing me.

This past Friday when I found myself praying the words of Psalm 119:25-28 today (Sunday night) I happened on the hi-lighted words of Psalm 33:8-9, a preblessing from an earlier date. They are powerful prophetic words for all of us especially when our world falling down around us and we don’t know the right way to go. “I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel. Do not be like a horse or mule, without understanding, that must be controlled with bit and bridle or else it will not come near you.” (Psalm 32:8–9, HCSB)

    AMEN!

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”**

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
